This Friday!

UNISON - The Nest, London, Friday December 2nd

Support: Blue on Blue, Long x DJs

Tickets only £5 here

Some remotely RER related thing happening this Friday - the UK debut show of UNISON!

UNISON are one of the best bands out there that ever graced the “Witch House” label. They are actually a proper band, and have been touring up and down France and Europe in the past. Releasing their debut long player earlier this year, it’s now finally time to get them playing in London!

Support comes from London’s very own noise pop duo and RER favourites Blue on Blue - who recently released their critically acclaimed debut EP on Tip Top Records.

Looking forward to lay down a 2 hour DJ set at this one!

Robot Elephant Records DJing at the launch night of London’s first Witch House Club Night - WHLND, upcoming Friday, July 15th!
This new clubnight is taking place at Vogue Fabrics, Dalston, and will run from 9pm to 4am. Fittingly, the venue is small, dark and obscure – the sound system is excellent!
It was conceived by /\dam (Cold In Berlin) and  ••∆•• (Shadowofseven)  Simply called ‘W’, this club night will cater for those who are interested in the dark, ethereal, visual, chopped and screwed genre (known commonly as Witch House) and will feature DJs at the very forefront of this new and mysterious scene.
It will feature a live performance of a new band called  ••∆•• , and DJ Sets by Story of Isaac and Elektritter (Robot Elephant Records).
Admission is £4 before 11pm and £5 all night afterwards.

The Stags Head Orsman Road is probably my favourite London pub! And it’s LIVE on Tumblr now!

Hi Folks, Welcome to the Stag’s Head Tumblr!

We’re gonna be using all of our powers to bring you regular updates on events. There’s a Blog where we show you some of the lovely stuff that we happen upon in the day to day running of the pub. There’s a Google Map with all the useful shit like…

The Racket at The Stags Head, London

The Racket are a very charming almost-all-girl punk band. Check them out, they are really fun!

Fair Ohs, Cold Pumas, Golden Grrrls at Dance Magic Dance, Stags Head London.

What a great show.. all 3 bands absolutely amazing. Fair Ohs, who  I am liking since a while, have lovely sunny, summery garagy tunes- like a garage version of Vampire Weekend - don’t like them less after that gig, that’s for sure! Cold Pumas are a favourite band of mine since a while with their hyperspeed math garage rock. Golden Grrrls are one of my new favourite bands now with their gorgeous speedy, scuzzy and fuzzy  pop songs that remind me a lot of Times New Viking and Veronica Falls. The Stags Head was a single sweaty mess!

Acid Mothers Temple and Stearica at Corsica Studios, London

Mount Eerie playing with a full band for Upset The Rhythm, Scala, London

Yesterday I saw one of my musical idols - Phil Eldrum with his band Mount Eerie, and they were playing all the songs of this last LP “Wind Poems” - which is one of my favourite records of 2009! This was definitly a fine day, the live interpretation of the songs is just immense, and everything I hoped to hear..
