After successful releases on Robot Elephant Records, Disaro and Clan Destine Records, as well as a litany of digital self-releases and remixes, Minneapolis producer Fostercare releases a bold new album entitled ‘Altered Creature’.
For ‘Altered Creature’, Fostercare worked 12-16 hours a day, endeavouring to create emotional electronic music that combines elements of techno, trance, rave and their many sub-genres. With heavy visual influences from the hyperrealist world of advertising, pornography, violence, virtual environments, post humanism and fetish societies; Fostercare has shaped a strange world behind his strain of electronic music. Driven by arpeggiated sequences, breakbeats and apocalyptic sentiments, Fostercare is music for the simulacrum - a peeling away of future underworlds, neon pulses, alternate screens, genetic maps and urban sprawl. Skating between many genres, his music is connected by its emotional intensity and third-eye hyperactive visions.
His credentials as a producer extend back to 2008, where he earned praise for exploring a darker, syrupy, warped-808-inspired sound teemed with surreal visuals. Inspired by Deleuzian and Zizekian trajectories of thought, Fostercare makes music that’s impossible to pigeonhole. Never is this more accurate than with ‘Altered Creature’.

God Don’t Like It Announcing Ritualz (†‡†) at CAMP Basement + Church of Synth

The following is some shameless self-promotion of my activities with my record company robotelephant records ;)

Some very exciting times ahead- as eagle-eyed followers of Robot Elephant Records might have already noticed, we are releasing a record called “†‡† vs. Fostercare” in July 2011, containing possibly the most elaborate material yet by these two outstanding artists! I will announce further details soon. In the meantime, read this public service announcement by goddontlikeit about the Record Launch Party - which features another artist who soon is going to debut on Robot Elephant Records - The Church of Synth, and an exclusive preview stream of one of the tracks from the Ritualz side of the upcoming release:

I’m very excited to announce the debut London show from Mexican Witch House artist Ritualz aka †‡.

Described by The Line of Best Fit as “pairing snowblind, disordered haze with thundering low-tones, you hear Wolf Eyes, Portishead and Lil Jon in the same space, crushing the pretenses that divide influence. “

Featuring on Robot Elephants ISVOLT Compilation & releases on Disaro we are really really happy to have him over for his first ever London show!

In support we have little known German electronic artist Church of Synth.

His tracks have been getting us very excited in Robot Elephant HQ and we will be doing a release with him soon!

The show is at CAMP Basement on the 20th of June and more DJ’s and live acts with be announced very soon.

Tickets are available for £6.50 from HERE
